MADILL, Okla. – A special jacket for a Chickasaw elder veteran is a great way for the tribe to express its thanks for service to country.

The tribe remains devoted to the health and well-being of its elders by offering programs and services focused on all aspects of their lives.

The Chickasaw Nation Elder Veterans Jacket Program provides eligible Chickasaw veterans, age 60 and older, jackets of recognition for their military service to our country. Since the program’s inception in 2005, a total of 955 jackets have been awarded nationwide.

Applicants must be first-time recipients of the jacket. The required form is available at any Chickasaw Nation senior center. Chickasaw elder veterans, regardless of where they live, are eligible to receive jackets.
