Generations of Chickasaws will gather at the Annual Meeting and Festival

Chokma! We are gearing up for another Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival! This is a special time when Chickasaws from across the country gather to celebrate our history, culture and the bright future we are building together.

The 2026 Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival will take place Sept. 25 through Oct. 3, with activities throughout the Chickasaw Nation. This year marks the 66th Chickasaw Annual Meeting and the 38th Chickasaw Festival.

This year’s event promises to be another wonderful opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, make new memories and experience the many traditions that unite us as Chickasaws. From cultural demonstrations to entertainment, fellowship and the Annual Meeting itself, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Additional activities will include the athletic competitions, traditional games, arts, children’s activities and food. The Chickasaw Princess Pageant, Cultural Evening and Southeastern Art Show and Market will showcase our shared culture as well as the talent of Chickasaws and other First Americans.

Part of what makes the week so special is getting to see the generations of Chickasaws participate together. Grandparents share memories and traditions with grandchildren. Families connect with relatives and friends they may not see throughout the year. Chickasaw youth have opportunities to learn about our language, history and cultural traditions. These moments make the week even more rewarding.

Our historic capital city of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, will once again serve as the heart of the celebration. On Saturday, Oct. 3, we will gather for the Annual Meeting and State of the Nation Address. This gathering provides an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate our progress, recognize the work taking place across the Chickasaw Nation and look toward the opportunities ahead.

Our progress is possible because generations of Chickasaws have worked together, supported one another and remained united in a promising future. Today, we remain committed to carrying on that legacy.
