Free tax filing services offered by VITA beginning Jan. 23, 2023

ADA, Okla. - Free tax filing services are available to qualified income-eligible individuals and families through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA).

The 2023 VITA filing period begins Jan. 23, 2023.

To receive this no-cost tax preparation assistance, please submit the online application found at Chickasaw.net/VITA and upload all required documentation, including:

• Government-issued photo ID
• Social Security cards for the filer and all dependents
• All W-2s, 1099s, etc. (any documents pertaining to your tax return)
• Voided check for direct deposit of any potential refund
• Copy of last year’s tax return (for new VITA clients)

A qualified VITA team member will prepare the return and review it with you in person, by phone or Zoom meeting.

VITA offices are located at 501 S. Mississippi Ave., in Ada. There will be limited availability for in-person meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Jan. 31, 2023.

*Schedule F and rental income are considered out of scope for VITA assistance.
