Celebrating success and sharing blessings
Chokma,
Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a great holiday season surrounded by friends and family.
We are excited for the opportunities ahead and the continued journey of the Chickasaw Nation. While we continue to plan and look forward with optimism, we also celebrate the remarkable progress we made in the past year. United in our mission to enhance the overall quality of life of the Chickasaw people, the Chickasaw Nation accomplished much in 2025.
Our strategic and diversified portfolio of businesses continued to serve us well. Through decades of sound fiscal stewardship, strategic planning and hard work, we have created and continue to grow a strong tribal economy. Last year, we saw the opening of the OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark in Oklahoma City and the expansion of Chickasaw Community Bank into south-central Oklahoma.
The Chickasaw Nation Department of Health had more than 1 million patient encounters and filled 1.5 million prescriptions, including 600,000 by mail. Through a partnership with Hunger Free Oklahoma, we expanded the Summer EBT program in 2025 and served approximately 100,000 children with nutritious food benefits for the months school is not in session.
We also made significant strides toward our bold vision for the future of health care in the Chickasaw Nation. The Newcastle Medical Center, in collaboration with Indian Health Service, is moving forward in design and planning. When built, it will be one of the most comprehensive First American hospitals in the country, offering specialty services and research capabilities informed by the health needs of Chickasaws and others we serve.
Educational opportunities for all ages and youth support remain a priority and a focus of our future. Last year, we awarded more than 5,000 Chickasaw students approximately $31 million in scholarships and educational support. Our Chickasaw Institute of Technology continued to thrive, with a record 71 graduates in areas such as construction, HVAC, nursing and business. More than 800 youth participated in camps ranging from sports clinics to space camp and from arts to STEM.
In 2025, we celebrated important milestones in our cultural preservation efforts. It was the 60th anniversary of the Chickasaw Council House in Tishomingo, a powerful symbol of our resilience and self-governance. The Chickasaw Cultural Center marked 15 years of sharing our culture and story with visitors from around the world.
Meanwhile, work continues on the Chickasaw Heritage Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, which, when completed, will provide an immersive, educational experience within our historic Homeland.
We also saw important enhancements and continued progress in programs and services across the tribe. The Chickasaw Home Improvement and Homeowner Preparedness programs served more than 4,800 Chickasaws. We launched an Elders Clothing Program, providing $250 annually toward clothing, and served more than 9,400 of our elders. Last year marked the 10th anniversary of the Chickasaw Warrior Society, which currently has more than 1,800 members around the country.
As we step into this new year, we are energized by the progress of our past and our bright future ahead. In 2026, we will keep pressing forward with our mission in mind, building on the strong foundation we have laid together for an even greater tomorrow.
Together, we will write the next chapter of our story, a story of service and shared progress. We hope you have a wonderful year!
