The Intertribal Timber Council, of Portland, Oregon, is seeking Indian students who are high school seniors or who are currently attending college and have an interest in studying natural resources.

The Council’s scholarship program, the Truman D. Picard Scholarship Program, is dedicated to the support of Native American students pursuing higher education in natural resources.

Scholarship awards are $1,800 for college students; $1,200 for graduating high school seniors.

Scholarship applicants must submit a letter of application demonstrating an interest in natural resources; a commitment to education, community and culture; academic merit; and financial need.
