Chickasaw legislators, justice re-elected; swearing in Oct. 1

Chickasaw Nation Election Secretary Rita Loder has announced results of the July 31, 2018 general election.

Pickens District Seat 1 incumbent legislator David Woerz, of Ardmore, received 1,467 votes to defeat challenger Michael T. Watson, of Ardmore, who received 727 votes.

Pickens District Seat 4 will be filled by incumbent legislator Shana Tate Hammond, of Ardmore, who received 1,781 votes to defeat Robert “Robby” Rogers, of Ardmore, who received 412 votes.

Pontotoc District Seat 1 will be filled by Toby Perkins, of Ada, who was unchallenged for the seat.

Pontotoc District Seat 2 will be filled by Nancy Elliott, of Ada, who was also unchallenged.

Tishomingo District Seat 1 will be filled by Scott Wood, of Tishomingo, as he was unchallenged for the seat.

Incumbent Supreme Court Justice Linda English Weeks, of Newcastle, was unchallenged and will retain Seat 2 on the court.

Elected officials will take the oath of office Monday, Oct. 1.

Seat 1 - Michael T. Watson, of Ardmore – 727 votes.

Seat 4 - Shana Tate Hammond, of Ardmore – Incumbent 1,781 votes – winner.

Seat 4 - Robert “Robby” Rogers, of Ardmore – 412 votes.

 

Pontotoc District

Seat 1 - Toby Perkins, of Ada – no challenger – reelected.

Seat 2 - Nancy Elliott, of Ada – no challenger – reelected.

Tishomingo District

Seat 1 - Scott Wood, of Tishomingo – no challenger – reelected.

 

Supreme Court:

Seat 2 - Linda English Weeks, of Newcastle – incumbent – no challenger – reelected.
